Ashley Koranteng, a 28-year-old Ghanaian-American visionary from Virginia, is making waves as the youngest owner and general manager in the Women’s American Basketball Association (WABA).
As the founder of Virginia Vitesse, the only semi-professional women’s basketball team in Loudoun County and all of Northern Virginia, she is not just building a team – she’s building a movement.
Koranteng, who entered ownership at the age of 27, stands as the only Ghanaian-American woman in the United States to own a professional women’s basketball team.
